HiPP Anti-Reflux Formula (0-36 Months) 600g

As a parent, watching your baby struggle with reflux is heartbreaking. Reflux can make them uncomfortable and cause distress. But you don’t have to worry anymore because there is a solution. HiPP Anti-Reflux formula is designed to reduce or eliminate reflux symptoms and should only be used per your doctor’s advice.
HiPP is dedicated to keeping your little one comfortable and less fussy. HiPP anti-reflux milk formula is developed with a thicker formula to help infants and babies with acid reflux, spit-ups, and regurgitation issues. Safe to use as soon as your little one is born, this milk should be used under medical supervision and is nutritionally complete for your little one or in addition to a weaning diet beginning at six months old.

Similar to other leading HiPP products, this formula is packed with essential nutrients including Vitamin A, C, and D to help promote bone growth and calcium absorption. Mimicking breast milk, it consists of Omega 3 & 6 LCPs that encourage the healthy development of the brain, eyes, and nervous system. To promote the natural thickening of the milk within the bottle, organic carob bean gum is added to the formula helping to manage reflux triggers while also reducing regurgitation.

HiPP AR is also free of any gluten, egg or wheat, palm oil, or corn syrup, and is an easy-to-prepare, gentle formula. All HiPP formula is held to the strict standards of the European Union, far more rigorous than the United States. Just as all of their other products are to ensure the safety and well-being of your little one.

What Makes Anti-Reflux Formula Stop Reflux?

HiPP anti-reflux formula contains locust bean gum, a natural, plant-based food thickener. Primarily made of fiber, it helps reduce or eliminate spit-ups and regurgitation in infants. It can also improve blood sugar levels while helping relieve acidity-related issues. The amount of locust bean gum in this formula has the proper formulation to balance nutrition and function. The formula is designed to be easy to digest. The thickening agent helps keep the milk in the stomach, reducing the likelihood of it flowing back into the esophagus.

Should I Change Formula if My Baby Has Acid Reflux?

If your baby has been experiencing reflux issues for over two weeks, you should speak with your pediatrician about changing formulas. Your doctor can help determine if a specialty formula is the right option for your baby. They will also help you decide whether changing formulas would suit your child’s needs rather than their current formula option.

You need to be aware that reflux and regurgitation are common conditions in infants, and most babies will outgrow them by the time they are one year old. However, if your baby’s symptoms persist or worsen, you should seek medical attention.

How Long Should My Baby Be on AR Formula?

Most pediatricians recommend keeping babies on an AR formula for up to 18 months, depending on their condition’s severity. Consult your pediatrician about how long your baby should stay on this formula.

When Does Gastroesophageal Reflux Peak in Babies?

Gastroesophageal reflux usually starts within 2 – 3 weeks after birth. It usually peaks between 4 – 5 months old when babies start solid foods as part of their diet. Solid foods can worsen symptoms if they have specific allergies or intolerances that may prevent digestion.

What Causes Reflux to Worsen in Babies?

Some of the factors that could cause the worsening of reflux symptoms in babies include:

• Incorrect positioning during feeding times
• Eating food too quickly
• Overfeeding
• A mother’s diet (if the baby is breastfeeding),
• Introducing new food types into their diet before they have had time to adjust due to age-related digestive maturation issues

All the above factors can exacerbate existing symptoms. As a parent, you should always pay close attention when trying different strategies.
